About the role
Sliema Media Lab Ltd is an independent digital marketing agency serving local and international clients across e-commerce, iGaming and fintech. We combine data-driven strategy with hands-on media execution and work from a modern seafront office in Sliema with flexible hybrid policies.
The Digital Media Buyer will join a compact media team and take ownership of end-to-end media activity — from media planning and platform setup to optimisation, reporting and post-campaign analysis. You will work closely with account managers, creatives and analytics to deliver measurable ROI and scale campaigns across multiple markets and time zones.
This role suits a candidate who is comfortable managing monthly budgets, using programmatic DSPs and ad platforms (Meta, Google Ads, DV360 or similar), and translating performance data into tactical decisions. Key responsibilities
- Plan, set up and manage paid media campaigns across programmatic DSPs, Google Ads (Search & Display), Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and other paid channels.
- Monitor daily campaign performance and take optimisation actions to meet KPI goals (CPA, ROAS, CPL).
- Manage media budgets, pacing and bid strategies for clients with monthly spend across multiple markets.
- Create and maintain trafficking tags, audience segments and campaign briefs with the creative team.
- Run A/B and multivariate tests to improve creative performance, landing page conversion and targeting.
- Produce regular performance reports and insights for clients and internal stakeholders using Google Analytics/GA4, Looker Studio or similar tools.
- Coordinate with account managers to align media strategies with broader client objectives and timelines.
- Ensure campaigns comply with brand safety standards, privacy regulations (including GDPR) and platform policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years’ hands-on experience in digital media buying or performance marketing.
- Proven experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager; familiarity with at least one programmatic DSP (e.g. DV360, TheTradeDesk) is expected.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with Excel, Looker Studio, GA4 and campaign reporting tools.
- Experience managing monthly media budgets and optimising towards CPA/ROAS targets.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Maltese language a plus but not required.
- Ability to work from our Sliema/Gżira office at least 2–3 days per week (hybrid model).
- Eligibility to work in Malta (EU citizens or valid Malta work permit holders preferred).

Work schedule
Typical week: Monday to Friday standard office-based schedule with hybrid flexibility; occasional early/late hours for campaign launches or time-zone coverage.
- Standard office hours: 09:00–17:30
- Flexible core hours: 10:00–15:00 with earlier or later start possible
- Occasional out-of-hours support for campaign launches (ad hoc)
