The IT Support Specialist will be part of a small, experienced support team handling desktop, laptop and user-access issues, Office 365 administration, basic network troubleshooting and vendor escalations. You will manage tickets, document solutions, onboard new starters and perform routine maintenance. The role suits a technically capable, customer-focused individual who enjoys solving problems and improving end-user experiences.

Key responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to end users via phone, email and ticketing system (Windows, macOS, mobile devices)
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues, escalating to 3rd line or vendors when required
- Manage user accounts and access in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops and peripherals
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, knowledge base articles and runbooks
- Perform routine system checks, patching and scheduled maintenance
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring secure set-up
- Handle service requests and incidents in accordance with SLAs and update stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT support or service desk role
- Strong practical knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 administration
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN)
- Experience with a ticketing system (e.g. Jira Service Desk, Zendesk, Freshservice)
- Good problem-solving skills and customer-facing communication in English
- Right to work in Malta (EU citizens or holders of valid Maltese work authorization)
- Ability to work on-site in Sliema at least 2–3 days per week as part of a hybrid schedule
- Willingness to participate in occasional on-call rota for after-hours support

Work schedule
Typical week: Monday to Friday standard hours with hybrid flexibility; participation in an on-call rota for occasional after-hours or weekend maintenance.
- Standard office hours: 09:00–17:30
- Flexible core hours: 08:30–16:30 or 10:00–18:00 (by agreement)
- On-call rota for out-of-hours support (typically shared weekly)
