Operations Manager (iGaming)
About the role
Merlion Interactive is a Singapore-based iGaming technology and entertainment company delivering regulated and non-regulated online gaming products across APAC. We operate a mixed model of in-house platform services, third-party providers and regional payment partners. Our team values rapid iteration, clear operations playbooks and strong cross-team collaboration.
The Operations Manager will lead the player operations and platform ops teams, manage incident response and SLA adherence, and work closely with product, engineering, compliance and customer support. You will be responsible for operational KPIs, fraud detection workflows, vendor management, and ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly for both peak traffic and campaign periods.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with proven iGaming or platform operations experience, strong analytical skills and familiarity with APAC regulatory and payments landscapes. The role provides growth into Head of Operations and exposure to product and commercial strategy, with a hybrid working arrangement from our Marina Bay office.

Key responsibilities
- Own day-to-day platform operations, ensure uptime and SLA targets are met
- Lead and develop player operations, fraud & risk, and platform support teams
- Coordinate incident response, run post-mortems and implement corrective actions
- Monitor KPIs and produce weekly/monthly operational performance reports
- Manage relationships with payment providers, KYC vendors and third-party suppliers
- Work with product and engineering to prioritise operational improvements and automation
- Ensure compliance with regional gaming regulations, AML/KYC workflows and internal policies
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, including vendor spend and headcount planning
- Drive hiring, training and shift scheduling for the operations function
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and runbooks
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations, player operations or platform ops — preferably in iGaming, fintech or highly regulated online services
- Proven track record managing teams (5+ direct reports) and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of APAC payment flows, KYC/AML basics and risk/fraud controls
- Data-driven: comfortable with KPIs, dashboards and basic SQL or analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
- Experience with incident management, runbooks and post-incident reviews
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work with commercial and technical teams
- Willingness to be on-call on a rota basis; able to work occasional nights/weekends for incidents
- Right to work in Singapore or valid work pass (we can sponsor in select cases)

Work schedule
Typical week: 5 days per week, with on-call rotation that may include evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis.

- On-call rotation for incident response (nights/weekends as rostered)
- Flexible shift adjustments during product launches or marketing campaigns
