About the role

Fnkt Creative Studio is an independent creative agency based in Tiong Bahru working primarily with restaurants, cafés, bars and boutique hotels across Singapore and the region. Our portfolio ranges from kopitiam-style breakfast chains and zi char concepts to upscale hotel F&B outlets and lifestyle beverage brands. We combine strong visual direction with sharp, locally tuned copy to help clients win guests and bookings.

The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for leading tone-of-voice work, long- and short-form copy, campaign concepts and content strategy for F&B and hospitality clients. Expect to work closely with art directors, strategists and producers on projects such as rebranding, menu rewrites, social campaigns, website copy, email marketing and creative direction for shoots. Native-level English is required to ensure nuance and idiomatic accuracy for regional audiences.

This is a hybrid role with regular in-studio collaboration, client-facing meetings in the CBD and occasional on-site work at restaurant launches or shoots. The position offers strong exposure to the hospitality sector, opportunities to grow into creative leadership and regular involvement in concept development for new openings and multi-channel campaigns.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead concepting and copywriting for brand campaigns, menus, websites, email and social content for F&B and hospitality clients
  • Develop and maintain clear brand voice guidelines and tone-of-voice documents
  • Write concise, appetising menu and dish descriptions that consider pricing, menu engineering and guest clarity
  • Work with art directors and producers to provide copy direction for shoots and on-site activations
  • Mentor and review work from junior copywriters; provide constructive edits and feedback
  • Collaborate with strategists to translate business objectives into creative briefs and content plans
  • Ensure all copy is culturally appropriate for Singapore and APAC audiences and proofread to native-level standards
  • Support client presentations and occasionally join client site visits, taste tests and launch events

Requirements

  • Native-level English (spoken and written) — idiomatic, impeccable grammar and tone control
  • Minimum 5 years' copywriting experience, with at least 2 years on hospitality / F&B accounts (agency or in-house)
  • Strong portfolio showing menus, social campaigns, website copy, email and campaign concepts — include case studies where possible
  • Experience creating brand voice guidelines and applying them across channels
  • Comfortable working in CMS (e.g. WordPress), Google Workspace and basic SEO/content optimisation principles
  • Proven ability to lead small teams and provide clear editorial direction
  • Flexible to attend occasional events, shoots or weekend launches as required
  • Eligible to work in Singapore; able to work hybrid from our Tiong Bahru studio

Work schedule

Typical week: 5 days per week (Monday–Friday) with flexibility; occasional evenings or weekends for launches and shoots.

  • Core hours 10:00–18:00 with flexible start/finish within agreed band
  • 2–3 hybrid WFH days per week
  • Occasional event/shoot days which may include early starts or weekend work
