SEO Content Strategist
About the role
FNKT Hospitality Group operates a collection of casual and elevated F&B concepts across Singapore — from kopitiam-inspired breakfast cafes and hawker-style zi char pop-ups to a neighbourhood izakaya and a CBD bistro. We invest in digital-first growth to drive reservations, delivery and brand discovery across multiple outlets.
The SEO Content Strategist will own organic search strategy and content planning: keyword research, editorial calendars, on-page optimisation, local SEO for outlets and performance reporting. You will work closely with culinary teams, FOH managers and external agencies to turn menu launches, seasonal campaigns and events into measurable organic traffic and conversions.
This role suits someone who combines strong copywriting with technical SEO knowledge and a taste for the hospitality industry. Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 12-month SEO content strategy to drive organic traffic, reservations and delivery conversions across FNKT brands.
- Conduct ongoing keyword research and content gap analysis tailored to F&B, locality and menu search behaviour in Singapore.
- Create and manage an editorial calendar: blog posts, menu pages, outlet pages, local landing pages and event/campaign content.
- Optimise on-page elements (meta, headings, structured data) and collaborate with web devs for technical SEO fixes.
- Implement local SEO for multi-outlet listings (Google Business Profile), manage citations and monitor review signals.
- Measure and report monthly organic performance (traffic, rankings, conversions) and present insights to marketing and operations teams.
- Work with chefs and managers to translate menu launches and promotions into SEO-friendly content and rich assets (recipes, photos).
- Coordinate with paid media and social teams to maximise cross-channel impact and reduce channel overlap.
- Manage external SEO/agency relationships and brief creative content when required.
- Train in-house content creators and outlet managers on basic SEO best practices for consistent content quality.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in SEO/content strategy, ideally with exposure to hospitality, restaurants or retail.
- Proven track record of improving organic visibility and conversions (share portfolio or case studies).
- Hands-on experience with CMS (WordPress or similar), Google Analytics/GA4, Search Console and an SEO tool (Ahrefs, SEMrush or Moz).
- Strong editorial skills — clear, persuasive copywriting tailored to local audiences and Singapore English.
- Working knowledge of on-page and technical SEO fundamentals (site structure, schema, redirects).
- Comfortable with data analysis and reporting; ability to translate metrics into action plans.
- Flexible for occasional evening or weekend attendance for launches, tastings or events.

Work schedule
Typical week: 5 days per week (Monday–Friday standard), hybrid with occasional evenings/weekends for events or campaigns.
