About the role

Sliema Tech Labs Ltd is a growing Malta-based technology firm serving international clients in fintech and iGaming. We combine ambitious product roadmaps with a collaborative engineering culture and are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to grow and lead our backend and platform teams.

In this role you will manage a team of software engineers and team leads, champion best practices (CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews), and work closely with Product and Design to deliver high-quality, secure systems. The position balances hands-on technical leadership with people management, architecture decisions and stakeholder communication.

You will be joining a small senior leadership team based in Sliema with frequent collaboration across offices in Valletta and remote team members. The role offers scope to influence technology choices, hire and mentor engineers, and shape processes as the company scales. This is an excellent opportunity for a manager who wants both technical ownership and people leadership in a Malta-based tech environment.
