About the role
Sliema Tech Labs is a mid-sized Maltese software and digital product company serving local and international clients across fintech and iGaming. The company prides itself on a collaborative engineering culture, fast-paced delivery and opportunities to work on cross-border projects.
As Technical Recruiter you will be the primary talent partner for engineering and product teams, responsible for sourcing, assessing and closing candidates across front-end, back-end, DevOps and QA disciplines. You will work closely with hiring managers to define role profiles, run targeted sourcing campaigns, screen technical candidates and manage the offer process. The role sits in Sliema with flexible hybrid working — typically 2–3 days in the office.

Key responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical roles: job briefs, sourcing, screening, interviews and offers.
- Work with hiring managers to define role requirements and build structured interview processes.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals and proactive outreach.
- Conduct technical screenings and co-ordinate technical assessments with engineering teams.
- Maintain and update the ATS (applicant tracking system), ensuring accurate candidate records and pipeline reporting.
- Negotiate offers and manage candidate experience from first contact to onboarding.
- Develop and run employer branding initiatives and university outreach in Malta.
- Track hiring metrics and present regular recruitment reports to leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in technical recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in software/tech.
- Proven ability to hire developers, DevOps, QA and product roles end-to-end.
- Practical experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and one ATS (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Workable).
- Strong communication skills in English; Maltese is an advantage.
- Comfortable assessing technical skills and coordinating technical interviews with engineering teams.
- Ability to manage multiple roles concurrently and deliver to hiring timelines.
- Right to work in Malta / EU status or ability to obtain work permission (candidates should be able to provide clarifying details during application).

Work schedule
Typical week: Monday to Friday with core working hours and hybrid attendance; occasional after-hours or early calls for overseas interviews.

- Occasional early/late calls to suit international candidates
