Web Analyst (GA4 Expert)
About the role
Blue Harbour Analytics is a boutique digital analytics consultancy serving international and local clients across eCommerce, iGaming and travel. We work with small cross-functional teams, supporting clients through GA4 migrations, measurement planning and data-driven optimisation.
You will join a small analytics team and be responsible for implementing robust GA4 setups via Google Tag Manager, building dashboards and ensuring data quality. The role requires hands-on technical skills combined with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for marketing and product stakeholders.
This position offers exposure to a variety of sectors, opportunities to lead migrations from Universal Analytics to GA4, and a clear development path into senior analytics or analytics engineering. Our office is in central Sliema with hybrid flexibility (typically 2–3 days in office per week).

Key responsibilities
- Lead GA4 implementations and migrations from Universal Analytics using Google Tag Manager (web and app tagging).
- Design and maintain measurement plans in collaboration with marketing and product stakeholders.
- Audit existing tracking, identify data quality issues and implement fixes (debugging, event validation, filters).
- Build dashboards and reports in Looker Studio / BigQuery to provide actionable insights and KPI tracking.
- Set up and maintain audiences, conversion events and eCommerce tracking in GA4.
- Collaborate with developers to implement dataLayer standards and resolve implementation blockers.
- Provide training and documentation for client teams on GA4 reporting and best practices.
- Monitor campaign measurement, run ad-hoc analyses and produce regular performance summaries for clients.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in web analytics or digital measurement roles.
- Proven hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (web/app).
- Solid SQL skills for querying BigQuery or other data warehouses; comfortable with data validation workflows.
- Strong knowledge of event-based measurement, eCommerce tracking and cross-domain setups.
- Experience using Looker Studio, Data Studio or equivalent dashboarding tools.
- Fluent English (working language); Maltese is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Right to work in Malta (EU national or valid Maltese work permit).
- Attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Work schedule
Typical week: Monday to Friday, standard office hours with hybrid flexibility; occasional out-of-hours support for migrations or release windows.
- Standard office hours: 09:00–17:30 (core hours 10:00–16:00)
- Flexible start between 08:00–10:00 with corresponding finish time
- Occasional early/late windows for deployment support (by agreement)
