WordPress Developer - Digital Agency
About the role
Sliema Tech Labs Ltd is an independent digital agency serving local and international clients across ecommerce, hospitality and professional services. Our small, multidisciplinary team focuses on high-quality WordPress builds, optimisation and ongoing site maintenance. We combine a relaxed Maltese office culture with structured delivery processes and a strong emphasis on client communication.
The WordPress Developer will work closely with designers, project managers and senior developers to build and maintain WordPress themes, plugins and integrations. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for front-end implementation, PHP-based customisations and performance/security best practices. You will be expected to contribute to technical decisions, support junior colleagues and help ensure projects are delivered on time and to spec.
This role is ideal for a developer with 2–5 years of WordPress experience who enjoys working across the full site lifecycle — from scoping and development through to deployment and post-launch optimisation. We offer hybrid working, a clear training budget and opportunities to work on varied client projects that improve both technical and client-facing skills.
